Witnesses, Not Spectators

Witnesses, Not Spectators

Reading: Acts 1:6-8

Devotional:
The disciples asked about political restoration; Jesus responded with personal commission. They wanted borders changed; He wanted hearts transformed.

Being a witness isn't a title you earn—it's an identity you embody.  Jesus didn't say you will build crowds or gather audiences; He said you will BE my witnesses. This identity transcends geography, moving from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, from your neighbor to the nations. It's both local and global, personal and universal.

You cannot be a witness to what you haven't experienced, but experiencing resurrection without testifying makes you complicit in another's spiritual poverty. Your hesitation may be the single hindrance to someone else's salvation. Witness is not optional for followers of Christ—it's definitional.

Today, recognize that every conversation, every relationship, every moment is kingdom territory where your witness matters.
