Obedience Before Understanding
Obedience Before Understanding
Reading: Acts 1:12-14; Proverbs 3:5-6
Devotional: The disciples walked back to Jerusalem without a detailed map, timeline, or guarantee of safety. They had only one command: go and wait.
God often calls us to move before we fully understand His plan. Like the disciples, we want clarity before commitment, but faith requires trust without all the information. What is God asking you to do today that doesn't make complete sense? Obedience isn't contingent on your calendar or comprehension—it's about positioning yourself for what God wants to do next.
Trust isn't truly trust when you have all the answers. Take the step God has shown you, even if you can't see the entire staircase. Your job isn't to understand the whole journey; it's simply to take the next faithful step.
