The King Who Confronts
Day 6 : The King Who Confronts
Reading: John 1:10-11; Mark 11:15-17
Devotional:
Jesus doesn't come merely to comfort us—He comes to confront us. When He entered the temple, He didn't affirm what had been built; He overturned it. The same King who brings peace also disrupts our carefully constructed lives when they don't align with God's design.
Today, ask yourself: What have I built around my faith that might actually be blocking God's intended purpose? Jesus confronts our expectations, our systems, and ultimately, who's in control. This confrontation isn't meant to harm us but to free us from patterns that rob us of God's best. Surrender begins when we stop defending what we've built and start trusting what He's building in us.
