Repentance Opens the Door

Repentance Opens the Door

Reading: Acts 3:19-21; Luke 15:11-24

Devotional: "Repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away." Not covered, not managed—erased. Repentance isn't merely feeling sorry; it's changing direction. It's the prodigal son coming to his senses and turning toward home.

Peter promises "times of refreshing" from God's presence, but there's an order: repentance, then refreshing. We exhaust ourselves seeking relief in success, entertainment, and comfort, but refreshment only flows from God's presence. And repentance removes the barrier between us and Him.

The blessing isn't separate from the turning—the blessing IS the turning. When you stop walking toward destruction and turn toward Christ, you enter the place of restoration. What path are you on today? God isn't asking you to get by better; He wants to transform your life completely. Turn around. Come home. Refreshment awaits.
