Confronting Our Guilt with Grace

Confronting Our Guilt with Grace

Reading: Acts 3:13-15; Romans 5:6-11

Devotional: Peter's message was shockingly direct: "You handed over and disowned the Holy and Righteous One." The gospel confronts before it comforts. We cannot experience the beauty of grace until we see the reality of our sin.

The crowd chose Barabbas—a counterfeit son of the father—over the true Son. We still make this exchange, trading Jesus for substitutes: comfort, approval, success, pleasure. But here's the stunning truth: the very people who crucified Jesus weren't beyond grace. Peter called them "brothers" and offered forgiveness.

If the murderers of Christ can be forgiven, so can you. Whatever you've done, wherever you've failed, you're not beyond God's reach. Before grace can heal you, sin must be exposed. Let conviction do its work today, knowing mercy waits on the other side.
