The Microscopic Fracture

The Microscopic Fracture

Reading: Psalm 139:23-24; Hebrews 4:12-13

Devotional: Just as aircraft mechanics search for invisible fractures that could become catastrophic, God examines our hearts for hidden compromises. What appears microscopic today—a small deception, a minor pretense, a subtle hypocrisy—can devastate our spiritual lives tomorrow under pressure.

The writer of Hebrews reminds us that God's Word penetrates to discern our true intentions. David's prayer in Psalm 139 should become ours: "Search me, O God, and know my heart." We don't need to fear this divine inspection; rather, we should welcome it. God sees what we cannot, and He lovingly addresses the flaw while it's still small.

Today, invite the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden fractures in your faith. Confession and repentance now prevent catastrophic failure later.
