The Sovereignty That Sustains

The Sovereignty That Sustains

Reading: Acts 5:34-39; Psalm 127:1

Devotional: Gamaliel spoke profound truth: "If this plan is from God, you will not be able to overthrow it." What God establishes, man cannot destroy. This truth should unburden every believer carrying the weight of ministry, family, or personal calling. You are not responsible for sustaining what God has initiated—you're only responsible to obey.

God is sovereign over His church, His mission, and your life. When opposition comes, when things seem fragile, remember: if God is building it, it cannot fall. This doesn't mean we're passive; it means we're freed from anxiety. We cooperate with God's work through obedience, but we rest in His power to sustain it. Stop assuming responsibilities that belong to God alone. Just go, stand, speak, and trust Him with the results.

Reflection: What burden are you carrying that belongs to God? How can you shift from striving to trusting?
