Silver, Gold, and the Source of Power

Silver, Gold, and the Source of Power

Reading: Acts 3:6-7; 2 Corinthians 4:7

Devotional: "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you." Peter's poverty became his power. Had he possessed coins, he might have made a transaction and kept walking. Instead, he offered transformation. The early church didn't change the world through what it possessed but through whose presence it carried.

We live in a resource-obsessed culture where we believe the answer is always "if only I had more." But resources cannot replace the power of God. The man expected provision; Jesus offered restoration. Are you seeking God transactionally or transformatively? You cannot give what you don't possess, so the question becomes: Are you filled with the Holy Spirit? An empty person cannot overflow. Today, stop seeking silver and gold solutions to spiritual problems. Seek fullness in Christ, and watch what you have become what others desperately need.

Reflection Question:
Am I seeking God for what He can give me, or for who He is and what He can do through me?
